What rbx is

rbx is a program for your own computer that works with your Rekordbox library. With an account it also offers shared playlists: playlists you and people you invite change together, and a way to get the songs of a shared playlist you do not have from a member who has them. These terms are between you and [LEGAL_OPERATOR not set] ([LEGAL_ADDRESS not set]).

Your account

An account is an email address; you sign in with a code sent to it. Keep access to that address to yourself. An account may be signed in on 2 computers at once. You may delete your account at any time in rbx (Preferences → Account → Delete Account).

The trial and the subscription

rbx is free for one day on a computer. After that, editing needs a subscription, which starts with a free 7-day trial (one per account and per computer). Our reseller Paddle (paddle.com) sells the subscription and is the merchant of record: the purchase is between you and Paddle, under Paddle's buyer terms, and Paddle handles payments, taxes, invoices and refunds. Cancel before the trial ends and nothing is charged; cancelled later, the subscription runs to the end of the period paid for. Without a subscription rbx still opens your library, read-only.

Shared playlists, and the songs in them

Our server keeps a shared playlist's name, its members and what each song is (title, artists, length, BPM, key, a hash of the file and a print of its loudness), never the songs themselves. When you get a song for a shared playlist, it comes from another member's computer, encrypted by your two computers, passed on by our server without being stored.

Only share music you have the right to share. You are responsible for the songs your computer gives and gets. Do not use rbx to share anything you are not allowed to share, anything illegal, or anything that harms others. Notices about content are handled as described on the takedown page; we suspend accounts that break these terms, and those of repeat infringers.

What we promise, and what we do not

We work to keep rbx and its server running and your data safe, but rbx is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law requires. rbx saves edits into Rekordbox's library only after a verified backup; keep your own backups too.

Changes, and the law

We may change these terms; rbx tells you before a change that affects you takes effect. These terms are governed by the law of [LEGAL_COUNTRY not set]. Questions: [LEGAL_EMAIL not set].
